Canadian DND Selects GenesisRTX IG for Mission Rehearsal Tactics Trainers

Tucson, AZ November 28, 2011 – Cogent3D, Inc., announced today at I/ITSEC 2011 that the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) has selected Diamond Visonics’ GenesisRTX IG for its Mission Rehearsal Tactics Trainers (MRTT) programs.

The Department of National Defence will be using Diamond Visionics’ GenesisRTX as its image generator (IG) in simulators under development for the Royal Canadian Air Force. These simulators will include:  Mission Rehearsal Tactics Trainers, front and back ends, for deployment to tactical helicopter squadrons; one CH-149 Cormorant Rotary Wing Search & Rescue Crew Trainer front end; two CH-149 RCT back ends ; and one CH-146 Griffon SAR variant back-end.

After a one-year test and evaluation period, we found that the GenesisRTX IG best meets our needs. It will play an important role in ensuring that key participants in upcoming wide area distributed mission training events have a realistic experience and a fair fight,” stated Mr. Robert Kirk, PM CASE, National Defence.
